Well, I think we can officially call this Christmas a success. Sure we hit a few snags, but all-in-all a good time was had by all, plus Lucy rallied like a rock star for 3 days straight with no naps. The theme for this Christmas was definitely dancing. There were tutus, ballet, and leotards everywhere!
Christmas Eve we went over to Grammy and Grandpa's and danced to their multiple singing stuffed animals. Luckily we ate the tons of lasagna AFTER the dancing. After dinner, Lucy also barged in on Scott in the bathroom and told him, "Daddy, your butt looks funny!" She also proceeded to tell us that her butt looks "cool." Ahh, fun with three year-olds.
Christmas day was more of the same-- tutus, dresses, nail polish, and dancing with Ballerina Dora. Grammy, Grandpa, Tia, and Jesmond came over and we got to Skype with Nanni and Grandad. Oh, and Santa brought Lucy a drum set. Depending on how that goes, one of us may be moving out to the shed.
Later on the extended family came over. Aunt Bobbie and Aunt Doris had a good time tickling and chasing Lucy and Vincent. I also cooked a wicked good ham for the first time.
Santa, in his infinite awesomeness, also left some presents for Lucy in Delaware so we had a little visit to Nanni and Grandad's. We had lots of leotard/tutu dancing action, played Zingo, sang songs, and did tons of puzzles and art projects. Oh, and Lucy had fun too. He he.
