Today we went to Trader Joe's, only had a few pieces of fruit in our cart, and hadn't even been there 5 minutes when Lucy promptly announced that she had to poop. Fun. My reply, "are you serious?" Her assertion, "yes." Okay. Even though I am squeamish about public restrooms, this was Trader Joe's, clearly they are in a realm above Giant and Target (retch). So we park our cart and find the surprisingly clean restroom and Lucy proceeds to produce the world's biggest and yellowest bowel movement I have ever seen. It looked like she pooped Bert from Sesame Street. When she hops down from the toilet she (loudly) proclaims, "Mommy! I did a banana poop!" I can hear the lady waiting outside the restroom door chortling, and we all enjoyed a hearty laugh. Later on we got to sign with a deaf guy who works the register there and he gave Lucy a lollipop. She signed "thank you" quite well and then proceeded to cover herself in the Trader Joe's stickers he gave her. Man, I love that place.
The other day Tia was reading books with Lucy before bedtime and instead of moving the heap of stuffed animals on the chair, Tia decided just to sit on them. Well, apparently, this created some kind of imbalance in the chair and Tia toppled over quite loudly just as Lucy was quieting down. Lucy sat bolt upright in her bed and said, "Tia! That was scary!" Angie laughed and explained that, no, it was FUNNY. Tia falling down is a funny thing. So, today we were eating dinner and Tia announced she was going down to Grammy's house for dinner. When Tia got back Lucy asked her, "Tia? You fell out of Grammy's chair?" Love it.
Here are some fun pics we've taken lately. The first one I took with my new, awesomely sexy iPhone 4S. I think it's pretty good for a recently-turned three year-old!
