Beach Blanket Bingo

We finally got a chance to get back out to Delaware at the end of June, and we got to do all the usual fun stuff... hit the beach and the boardwalk, went on some rides, rode the trike some, and of course, picked up all the shiny rocks in Nanni and Grandad's front yard.

Sharing some Italian ice on the boardwalk.

Merry-go-round with Nanni

Ahh.... good old fashioned rides with guns.

And the new lame rides that just slowly go in a circle.

Checking my seatbelt? Shoot. Don't you be touching my boat.

My beach baby.

Man, this kid loves sand. She eventually rolled in it before we left.

Oh, yeah, and probably burying her didn't help the sand situation.

Much cheaper than childcare.

Just me, my bike, and the open road.

Cheeser.

And then just before the 4th of July, we took a trip to Cunningham Falls State Park (the same place where we went camping last fall) to swim in the lake and have a beach date with the Fitches and Marchesanis.

A pink sprinkle donut and a tutu bathing suit-- life doesn't get much better.

Lucy and Vincent... the wild children bond.

Lucy digging in the sand with her other favorite toy of all time: a stick.

Aaaaaand more sand.

And then we went to Lucy's best friend from daycare, Anna's, birthday party on July 4th. The two of them are such partners in crime. Even innocently sipping their juices, they are hatching some kind of plot... I'm sure of it.
